An Effective Role for Transdermal Magnesium (magnesium oil) in Relief and Treatment of Chronic Pain.

The PRACTICAL how to’s of  Using Magnesium as a “Band Aid”,
for Relief and Releasing Chronic Pain and Chronic Aches.

Firstly it helps to think of magnesium as Pain Food.
Chronic Aches and Chronic Pain consume magnesium as fooduse it up. A dose may be consumed in one hour or two hours or if you are a low consumer it may last for four hours. When muscles are tight for whatever reason they constrict blood supply and they squeeze nerves causing, twitching, cramping, aches or pain depending on how they do it and where they are in the body.  The presence of adequate magnesium can create relaxation and thus release cramps, twitching, aches or pain.
There is a lot to be said for keeping up magnesium levels as prevention
of pain or aches.  (Ultimately the real answer is doing appropriate therapy to assist your body to repair your chronic injury – that’s why people consult me.)

There are  surface muscles and those deep within the body. Surface muscles generally respond quickly and with between 80% and 100% success rate using Transdermal Magnesium (commonly called magnesium oil). It is massaged on the calves  PLUS  over where it aches or there is chronic pain/stiffnes/spasms.

APPLYING TRANSDERMAL MAGNESIUM EFFECTIVELY TO SURFACE MUSCLES

Apply the concentrate to your skin and massage in.
Wait a few minutes for the concentrated magnesium to be drawn into the body. Your skin will appear dry – sometimes oilyish.
Next wet your hands with the purest water you have and massage the water over where you massaged the magnesium oil.  The water will dissolve the magnesium on the surface of your skin so that your skin can draw in more magnesium. Wait for your skin to dry off a second time.
Wet your hands again and massage the remaining magnesium over your skin to be absorbed. This procedure through practical experience has been shown to absorb most of the magnesium. This procedure takes about 10-15 minutes depending upon the dryness or oiliness of your skin.
Applying transdermal magnesium effectively is the secret to using it for effective relief of chronic ache or chronic pain.

In addition to the above, transdermal magnesium has been used for successful treatment of cramps and spasms be they acute or repetitive, women with “restless legs syndrome” at night, aches, and restless legs post operatively from knee replacement operations. Apply transdermal magnesium around the area and on the lower leg as described above and most times it will relieve them – until the muscles have used it up and then reapply.

In my clinical experience often a client has expressed that “magnesium made them itch and that was the reason they discontinued using it”
I have come to interpret this as “ that they applied the concentrate ineffectively and it did not work for them”. Effective application is the secret. When it is applied as per the above procedure it is highly effective AND DOES NOT ITCH.

GETTING MAGNESIUM TO THE DEEPER INTERNAL MUSCLES:

This can be a challenge as the magnesium has to be taken internally. There are numerous types of magnesium powder and capsule formulas in the marketplace and the goal is to find the successful combination of form of magnesium and dosage that suits you. Too big a dosage or a form your body does not like and may go right through you – diarrhea within twenty minutes to four hours. This can be ameliorated sometimes by adding two teaspoons of psyllium husk in one cup of water at the time of ingesting. However do remember that the body’s way of getting rid of what it does not like is diarrhea – take it seriously.

I muscle test myself for the correct combination – if you do not muscle test, it is trial and error until by experience you get that deep inner relief where the chronic ache or pain releases. I write here from my own experience and from what clients have shared with me. It seems to be about 80% to 100% effective for those who persist long enough to discover the correct combination for themselves.
N.B. From my research: It is important to recognize that often digestion is compromised and magnesium taken internally may be excreted rather than reach the muscles where it is needed.  This is where I feel transdermal magnesium application and mag phos can be very useful to act as a support.
Mag Phos – biochemic cell salt from my experience has the ability to release certain deep muscles in a particular way and also relieve/prevent certain spasms.

My successful procedure has been to take three to six tablets before going to bed and upon waking in the morning place a couple of crystals of table salt and three to six mag phos under my tongue. I find the table salt enhances the effectiveness of the mag phos when used this way in the morning.
I also find that mag phos often works well in combination with magnesium powder enhancing its effectiveness.

About 90% of the clients I have worked with over the years did not take pharmaceutical “pain killers” or if they did rarely. They mostly “put up with” the pain or aches until they discovered magnesium. Observation and questioning indicates that transdermal magnesium assisted resolution when used as an adjunct to quality therapy.

If you are taking “Pain Killers” as prescribed by a doctor – this article is not to replace the pain killers but to alert you to the possibility that magnesium in some form may reduce your aches / pain considerably – please discuss this with your doctor. If they do not know anything about using magnesium in this way, I suggest getting a “second opinion” and do your own research so that you are well informed before consulting the second opinion and arrive with a list of questions to ask. One excellent place to gain information is asking pharmacists – they not only know “lots of stuff” but they also know about adverse drug interactions and thus can sometimes advise you whether the drug you are taking is likely to adversely interact with the form of magnesium that you may consider taking.

Ultimately as a clinical therapist I suggest that knowing your own body and trialing magnesium is the only way you will discover how well it works for you (or not).
With my Remedial Massage Therapist & BodyWhisperer hat on I suggest that finding therapists that understand that “thoughts and emotions activate nerves, nerves activate muscles and muscles activate bones” and thus treat you holistically are most likely to assist you to heal your chronic ache or chronic pain along with magnesium.

Kuranda Kneecare, Scar Release, Cupping and Brazilian Toe Massage

Welcome to Kuranda Kneecare.

In brief I offer you 15 years of knee & hip care regenerative-focused experience within my 37 years  Professional Career..

I have treated many folk aged 35 plus who limped, walked hesitantly or who walked with difficulty, bent over etc – If you have knee challenges I do not need to tell you what the experience is like.

Mary expressed after working with me she felt “the joy of walking with freedom and confidence”. I can assist you too, to also walk with freedom and confidence.

Most therapists address your muscles directly, release their tensions – and that’s it. But the tensions are back in a few days and so you go back for release again…

What I do differently is I firstly address your electrics – your nerves and get the signals and the brain feedback loop working more effectively. Fascia signals more functional. This brings blood into your muscles so that they can work more effectively and in the process tension is released. That having been accomplished, then I address muscles directly.
This is gentle, pain-free and effective remedial work that most clients enjoy.  My focus is on getting results.

So, What do I actually do?
Your are an individual – your treatment is according to your individual needs.
For some clients their knee challenges come from above, moving downwards from their hips / sacrum.
For some it is from ankle injuries and thus moves upwards to their knees. For some it is just physical knee injuries. For most it is a combination of all three in different ratios.

Firstly, I want to watch you walk to observe your posture, your sway, your stiffness, if you limp or any other observations that assist me.

Working with the focus on your knees I will most likely work with the neurolymphatic points in one or more of these areas , your sacrum, hips, knees, your calf muscles, your back and upper chest to assist you to release the tensions that will shift you towards flow and that freedom of movement or orthobionomy to release tight calf muscles. Mobilizing to increase flexibility.  As I see you respond to what I have done, I evaluate and know where to go next and what technique to use…
Depending on origins of your knee condition(s) I may focus initially on calf muscles release or getting more movement in your upper body – as I expressed above you are an individual and you receive a totally individual treatment.

How long is a session?
A session is generally 90 minutes and costs $170. How long it takes is according to your ability to respond (how well your neurals are working). Sometimes I may suggest that you go for a walk, sightseeing /rest and see you again in two hours when you have processed and integrated a part session – it is all very individual. Sometimes I finish a session earlier because your being has had its fill of change and needs to process. Each client is treated as an individual in a session that is specifically for them.

Getting here:
Most clients come by car or local bus
which gives plenty of time to explore and enjoy Kuranda. Others come by skyrail or train from Cairns which means that they have a very short day here. (Many return the next day by hire car or bus to explore further.)

I treat clients from all around Australia though most are from Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. For ongoing treatment I suggest that they periodically come to beautiful tropical Cairns, Palm Cove, Port Douglas or Kuranda – the village in the rainforest for a three day weekend to have their treatment with me and to enjoy “Relaxing Tropical Time”. Fares can be as cheap as $69 on off peak and off season accommodation is very reasonable.
I suggest hiring a car to come to Kuranda or staying in Kuranda gives plenty of space and time to enjoy being in our beautiful tropics (Kuranda is 300m above sea level and thus cooler in summer.)

How may I help you?
My best suggestion is to give me a short call and brief me on you and we can go from there.

Blessings

Do you have scars that are painful, stiff, itch, burn, raised or uncomfortable?

This is the story of the healing of an unhealed scar.

This scar was created at age 15 as a surgery scar from repair of a broken bone. For 47 years it had been a raised, tight keloid scar that was hyper sensitive but numb to touch. It was painful when knocked.  Its healing began in November 2016.

The healing began with using light touch. When I was comfortable with this it then extended to various ‘proddings/ scrapings’ with a fingernail on a daily basis all around the scar BUT not directly on the scar.  The area around the scar became more and more relaxed. This evolved to gently squeezing around the scar.

Next cupping using the gentle soft bulb cup all around the scar to further and deeper release and soften the fascia and deeper adhesions.

When tightness, stiffness and pain had 90% disappeared and sensitivity had decreased considerably. I was comfortable that sufficient release had occurred and it was time to use a bigger cup to go deeper and release further. For this we used the soft blue cup. There were about six cuppings.

This is how it looked when the cup came off showing a lot of colour of ‘stagnent chi’ being drawn to the surface to be resolved. At this time the raised keloid nature of the scar is still evident.

Today the keloid nature of the scar has reduced to about one third. The colour of the scar is also closer to skin tone.
                         and
The scar is now pain-free, soft and pliable.

This  brief in The Art of Cupping is based on that you have either received cupping and thus have personal experience or you have researched cupping and thus have some concept of its possibilities for you .

I use four types of cups
(1) Glass Traditional Cups activated by flame (definitely my first choice for releasing, drawing, warming and doing lots of stuff modern cups don’t do)

(2) Modern Cups
–  flexible plastic (absolutely fantastic for cupping shoulders, elbows and knees – rounded shapes that other cups don’t fit)

(3) old style hard plastic (just the best for flash cupping and handy if I run short of cups – sometimes I use a lot)

(4)  glass cups with a suction bulb (superb for scars and stretch mark repair, treating cellulite, delicate spots and for beauty – face cupping – try it you will simply love the feeling)
In my own view I use all the cups both conservatively and with flair according to circumstance and condition I am working with.

Most people who use cups, do ‘static cupping’ – place the cups for a period of time and then remove the cups at the end of the session.

I use both static and mobile cups as I massage you with them using their capability to release, open, draw and expand; to release and repair fascia, release and open stuck muscles and to pull from the body stuck energy.

My clients so enjoy my practising the Art of Cupping Massage using modern flexible cups and traditional glass cups releasing long held tensions from their body, regaining flexibility and increasing their range of movement.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of giving cupping massage to my daughter who flew into Cairns and visited us. She was so pleased to leave so many tensions behind when she went home!

A word about: Hygiene with cups – glass and plastic

I wash my cups in citron, a citrus based detergent plus The Liquid Crystals “Balance Allign and Clear” cleansing them both physically and energetically and then rinsing thoroughly in running clear water.  This leaves them very clear and clean.

Always ask a practioner if they wash their cups and what procedure they use – you would be shocked to learn some do not wash their cups between clients.

Brazilian Toe Massage

Brazilian Toes Massage is technically “Toe Holding”.  Traditionally each toe is held in a sequence for three minutes in a specific sequence such that the whole sequence takes fifteen minutes.  It is incredibly relaxing!Experience has taught me that very stressed clients often benefit from having three repetitions of the sequence (45minutes). It is common for a very relaxed receiver to go to sleep, awaking deeply relaxed.

The Great Aussie Thong Measure

Do take a critical look a the bottom of your shoes –

They tell a Life Story – Yours

Chronic injury I define as one that lasts for weeks AND becomes years. Chronic stiffness, ache, pain or body misalignment is the KEY sign that, emotional, energetic or physical injury has become stored in your cellular memory in varying parts of your body. In essence it is stuck energy so it blocks the flow in your muscles and fascia.Blocked flow = increasing stiffness, aches or pain over time.

The soft and mouldable, easily worn away thongs tell the story of how you walk and how you stand. They are the ‘ made visable’ story of  your lower back pain, mid back pain, tight shoulders or neck pain…

Exhibit A: One well worn pair of thongs exhibiting the wear pattern on the bottom and weight distribution pattern on the top.

Both sides wear is fairly even with a little more on the right.

Exhibit A.2

satya distance remote healing reiki shaman psychic clairvoyant SpiritualWhisperer T2

Both exhibit some wear on big toe – marginly more on left foot.

Both exhibit wear on heel – more to the outside with more on left foot consistant with dragging feet slightly when walking.

Exhibit A.3satya distance remote healing reiki shaman psychic clairvoyant SpiritualWhisperer T3

And from above greater downward pressure on right big toe and front of foot, little toe showing no downward pressure.

Minimal pressure from first left toe and little toe showing no downward pressure. Slight extra downward pressure left heel. Both feet are rolled outwards.

With the techniques I use all of this is fixable as old injuries are cleared and their body readjusts itself back to the “prebirth blueprint”.

I have been working with the owner of these thongs and they have come a long way from where they were.

Have another look at your shoes, feel into your body, stiff, painful or aching, backs necks or shoulders and how you walk are reflected in your shoes.

It is said “we never know how another feels until we’ve walked in their moccasins”. When I look at your shoes and how you walk I know I can help you to lose those aches and pains….

Do give me a call so I can help you too 0425411545
